Take these steps to open your SMART529 college savings account:

  1. Choose your investment options.

  2. Read the SMART529 Select Offering Statement.PDF File
    The offering statement contains information about investment fees, expenses, performance history and risks. It also contains information about customer service and how your investments are managed and administered.
  3. Gather all required bank and personal information.
    Social Security Numbers, dates of birth, bank information and other details are necessary to complete the enrollment process. Refer to the New Account Checklist for a list of the information you'll need.
  4. Open your account.
    You can enroll in one of two ways:
