Automatic payroll direct deposit makes saving for college nearly effortless.

Sign up one of two ways:

Online

1. Log into your SMART529 Select account.
2. Select the Profile & Documents link on the right side of the screen.
3. Select the Payroll Deduction link on the left side of the screen and follow the instructions.

By mail

Complete the SMART529 WV Direct Payroll Direct Deposit Form and mail it to the address on the form.

We will send you a Payroll Direct Deposit Confirmation Form by mail that you must sign and submit to your employer's payroll department.

Good to Know

1. $25 minimum deduction per pay period ($15 for West Virginia residents)
2. Contributions are paid with after tax-dollars
3. Your employer must be able to support this feature
